BOARD OF MANAGEMENT
The BIA is: •a self help mechanism to assist the downtown business and retail community to upgrade their commercial and shopping district •established on the initiative of the local business community (landlords and tenants) and with the approval of municipal council The mandate of the BIA is to: •oversee the improvement, beautification and maintenance of municipally owned land, buildings and structures in the area beyond that provided at the expense of the municipality •promote the area as a business or shopping area Board Members: •must be committed to the improvement of Downtown Port Colborne •must be able to attend regular monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm •should be an eligible member of the Business Improvement Area* *If you have questions regarding your eligibility please contact City Clerk Janet Beckett. 905 835 2900
